Millicent Borges Accardi is a Portuguese-American author of four poetry collections including: Through a Grainy Landscape (New Meridian Press, 2021), Only More So (Salmon Poetry, 2016) and the upcoming Quarantine Highway (FlowerSong Press, Texas, 2022).  She lives in the hippie capital of Topanga canyon where she curates two reading series: Kale Soup for the Soul and Loose Lips. 

Her writing awards include fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), 
California Arts Council,  Fulbright, CantoMundo, FLAD, Foundation for Contemporary Arts (NYC Covid emergency grant) and Money for Women (Barbara Deming Foundation).

Millicent holds degrees in English and writing from CSULB and the University of Southern California
